She attended college in Florida, graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in Political Science. Soon thereafter, she married Austin J Yerks III, a graduate of West Point. They lived in exotic locations throughout Europe and the Orient before settling down in Great Falls. Austin is currently the President of Defense Group, for CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation).Penny and Austin have one child, a daughter, Piper Lauren. In 1996 Piper married Eric Gioia and they currently live with their three children in McLean. In 2000 Piper joined her mother as part of her real estate team. In addition to her real estate business, Penny serves the community through her volunteer work. She has served on the Board of Directors of Heritage Bank (now Cardinal Bank), Board of Directors of INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Chair of the The Choral Arts Society Annual Gala, Chair for Special Gifts for United Way, Chair of the National Museum of Women in the Arts Gala.Together as a team Piper and Penny are a winning real estate combination. Piper Gioia was born in Wurtzburg, Germany and traveled in a military family until settling in Great Falls, Virginia in 1980. Piper graduated from Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington and then moved onto James Madison University where she received a degree in communications. She married Eric Gioia in 1996 and they now have three children and have settled in Mclean.In addition to her real estate career, Piper spent 8 years in marketing and sales in the government information technology marketplace where she was a Senior Vice President for Federal Sources. In 2000, she joined her mother's real estate team as a buyer-broker.Piper has served on the Board of Directors of INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Chaired the spring benefit for MPA (Mclean Project for the Arts), and is active in Chairty Works, The Choral Arts Society, and her children's schools.Piper's career spans over 15 years in the Northern Virginia area. Aaron Scruggs was born in Charlotte, North Carolina before moving to McLean in 1985. He graduated Madison High School in Vienna and moved on to attend the Virginia Military Institute before graduating with a degree in English in 1994. He married Stephanie Scruggs in 1995 and resides in Vienna with their three children.In addition to his real estate career, Aaron spent 10 years in the printing industry where he ran a multi-million dollar printing company.

In 2001 he started his Real Estate career by becoming a licensed agent and purchasing a few investment properties. Aaron joined Penny's team in 2004 as the listing coordinator, before becoming a buyer's agent in 2005. karnia Corell-Mallona was raised in Richmond, Virginia and later moved to Washington, DC metro area to start her career in real estate. Since 1986, Karina has worked in new homes sales and marketing for several national and regional residential development companies. In 2009, she joined the Penny Yerks Team specializing in both new and existing home sales in northern Virginia.

Karina is very active in Washington, DC charities and causes. She is on the executive committee for Knock Out Abuse as well as the women's committee for the Washington Ballet. Her father, Fred Hetzel, a former NBA player for the LA Lakers and Philadelphia 76'ers, owned a real estate agency in Loudoun County for over 25 years. As a top producer for many years in the Northern Virginia area, Susan has won the respect of her clients and colleagues. She enjoys spending time with her grandkids and staying active in the local community. Recently she has been involved in The Woman's Club of McLean assisting with the Holiday Homes Tour. Charnita Baseden grew up in Seattle, Washington the daughter of a successful Mortgage Lender, Real Estate Agent and Business Owner whose influence motivated her to become a Property Manager and later on Business Owner. Prior to her studies at the University of Washington, Charnita moved to Los Angeles to study Fashion Design and Marketing. Charnita moved back to Seattle and received her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Society, Ethics and Human Behavior) with a Minor in Human Rights.

In January 2010 Charnita moved to Washington, DC and joined the Penny Yerks Team in October 2010 as an Office Manager/ Marketing and Client Services Associate. Charnita currently resides in Logan Circle.
